What could the United States have done to prevent bad relations with the USSR?

Ont thing we could have done is stoppe building more atomic weapons.

Gregory,
Stalin was a paranoid to begin with, so not much. Howver,
think about the "what if" question of the U.S. being isolationist after the war. What do you think would have happened?

The Terms list for the Cold War in Asia - I've found that i dnt have a lot of the things listed. Is that because I've missed notes, or have we not gone over some of them? eg; Wake Island Conference/Operation Chromite

Stalin and the USSR should have been paranoid put your self in their shoes your communist and the US hates communism. The US blows up two cites with two bombs and didn't tell your country's leaders anything about this weapon. How would you feel? threatened? Not to mention the US wasn't going to even help your country at the beginning of the war because they thought your country wouldn't last against the German army.

i hope u are going to be on here tonight....anyways, what does "police action" mean? it's on our study guide...and in our notes but it's not explained...Also, have you decided about how the terms are going to be set up??

Anonymous said...

i also don't know whats happening with the police action situation, abby. i see it in our notes but it wasn't defined so i'm thinking it was a discussion. i remember alot about the red guard in china, but that isn't exactly relevent to our notes on n. korea, which is where police action should be defined in our notes.
